I got to register my account! This is really nice to be able to overstand what everyone is talking about when they say, "blog this..." and "I blogged about my trip to...". Now I get how it can be very useful to connect with like-minded people, or discuss ideas/agendas when planning events like weddings, parties, family reunions, etc. Feeling still kinda' new to NYC and to Brooklyn specifically- it'll be nice to get to know things through different groups. Eg. The New York Vegetarian society can recommend restaurants I may visit, or a parks/runners group may reccommend trails and parks to check out. This can also apply to craft/hobby stores and, (yes, I'll say it!) the Brooklyn Public Library System.

7 1/2 ...
....good stuff! It reminds of many positive attributes I've read about and heard about from public and religious/spiritual sectors. I have a weakness of not asking for help and not getting mentors. Impatience is another challenge to getting to my goal. I have been very specialized in one field and being one of the best in the world in one area, can test my patience when learning something new in a new field. Admittedly, I've balked at some of the new technology. I wonder at the speed at which children adapt and need to remind myself of my capabilities to do the same. I'm at a crossroads with my calling and really feel a need for information, comraderie, and guidance. My strength lies in sticking with something if I believe it will benefit me. I DO love to play and don't feel I do it NEARLY enough. This is a good opportunity to access my outlook and habits.
